Hello fellow Orff members!

A belated thank you to all of you who came out to our conference sharing workshop last Saturday.  A huge thank you goes out to all who shared the wealth of our conference: Phil, Maureen, Julie, Pam!  Also, thank you to our new member, Laura, for sharing!

Our next workshop is on Saturday, February 11th.  We will have another sharing session, but this time, with Kodaly NJ.  The topic will be on your no-fail songs or activities for the music classroom.  Please consider sharing your fantastic ideas.  (And please reply to this email so that we have a head count on how many people will be sharing–we need to plan accordingly!)

There is no known threat of snow right now but just in case of inclement weather, the snow date for the workshop is Saturday, February 18th.  Please check our website and your emails, as we will update as soon as the president makes the decision to hold the workshop on the date or not.  There will be no phone calls.

Just to give you a heads up:

Our last workshop of the year will be Saturday, March 24th.  Our clinician will be our own Maureen Murphy-Fernandez and she will do a “Orff in Action” workshop.  One request: she needs our members to bring some students, as Orff in Action workshops are based on observation of actual teaching of the children.  If you work near Princeton and have some students who are willing and able, we need students from elementary to early middle school years.  More details to follow on this one, but we thought we would share this information with you right now to get you organized.
