Statement of Identity-Belief-Mission
The American Orff-Schulwerk Association is a professional organization dedicated to the creative teaching approach developed by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman. We are united by our belief that music and movement —to speak, sing, and play; to listen and understand; to move and create — should be an active and joyful learning experience.
Our mission is:
To demonstrate and promote the value of Orff-Schulwerk.
To support professional development opportunities.
To align applications of the ORff-Schulwerk approach with the changing needs of American society.

Hello there! My name is Nicole and I am a graduate music education student at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ.
I am pleased to say I chose the subject of Orff-Schulwerk in the elementary classroom as my thesis for the semster and am wondering if I may be able to attend workshops and/or meetings with this chapter of the AOSA in addition to my research.
I look forward to hearing back from you soon. All the best.

I finished my Orff levels this summer at Villanova. I am a member of AOSA and would like to come to the Oct. 23rd session. I don’t see any particulars here. Can you send me info, please?
Thank you,
Elizabeth

Hello!
Thank you!
I went on the website workshop dates for 2010-2011 and couldn’t find the calendar and descriptions for the years workshops. Am I missing something? Is there any way we could get these on here? I am trying to send in paperwork to my school district.
